If I ruled the world …

If I ruled the world, I would do many things which I’d love to do.
Firstly, I’d become the king of the world. I could have the power to command all the government officials. I would change the law and make it fairer and more humanization. I’d decrease the crimes and stop the wars. I would build a more secure society. I want to see everyone lives in a happy life.
Then I’d provide all the children to study for free. I would change the educational system. I’d repeal the hidebound exams and stop the teacher and parents to evaluate the students by the examination paper. I’d to improve the facilities for every school and add more courses for the students to select. It will make the students haven’t to waste the time on the study which they don’t like. I’d make more chances for students to develop their strong suits and achieve their own dreams.
Finally, I would travel around the world. There are so many places that I want to go and I have never been to before. If I ruled the world, I would go anywhere follow my own wills. I would use the helicopter to go to every country. I could meet many different people, to know lots of traditional culture from every place, see all kinds of beautiful scenes and so on. I would have a very exciting life.

Sightseeing in Leicester

Haymarket Memorial Clock Tower
The Haymarket Memorial Clock Tower is a major sign in Leicester City Centre. It is in the middle of the city centre. It was constructed in 1868. It is in order to commemorate four people: Simon de Montfort, William Wyggeston, Thoms White and Gabriel Newton. There are four statues at each corner. Every weekend, some people act in front of the Clock Tower.

New Walk
New Walk is about 1100 metres. It is known as Queen’s Walk. It is from city centre to university. The road is made of cobblestons. Many different kinds of trees and flowers on the both sides of the road. If you walk on this road in spring, all the flowers are bloom. You can see many beautiful flowers around you. When you walk on this road in autumn, all the fallen leaves are on the road. Everything is golden, you can feel relax.

Castle Gardens
Castle Gardens are situated in the west of city centre. It is beside the Grand Union Canal. Castle Gardens include Castle Hall, John of Gaunts Cellar, and The Church of St Mary de Castro. The building was originally the Great Hall of Leicester Castle, which was erected in the 11th or 12th century. Some people said: "this is the one of the finest Norman Halls in England...” The timber roof is possibly 14th century. The Professor Horn said it was the earliest residential timber roof of Europe.

A dance

This Sunday I went to the city center with my friend Jennifer.We bought many tings like clothes, foods and so on. When we decisded to come back, we saw three people perform a dance beside the clock tower. They wear the strange clothes with the feather and play the special music. Their dance were very nice and intersting.

This afternoon, I went to the supermarket to buy some tomatoes and eggs. It is ready for my dinner. This is my first time to cook. I'm afraid when the food down into the pan, because it has a horrible sound. Finally I finish it. When the food is put into the dish, I find that it looks good. Although, it is a little salty, I still feel very tasty.

The Clock

I have a very cute little alarm clock. It looks like a cock, the head of the clock is red, and the body is yellow. There is a small eye on the dial,looks very lovely. It has a small hole in the head of the cock, it can put into five little eggs. Every morning, it will sound on time. Only the eggs be put in,the voice will stop. It is a very funny clock, it makes me get up on time every day.I like it very much.

My Dog

last night,I have watched a film.It said about a boy and a dog.Some thiefs stole the diamond and harbored it in the dog.The boy saved the dog and catched these thiefs.He is very courageous and clever.I think the three thiefs have bad luck.The dog is very lovely and docile.While I was watching the film,I think of my dog.When I was in China,I have feeded a dog in the home.He is white with some black speckles on his back.He is also very lovely and docile.Every time,I came back from school,he would greeted me at the door.But now,I'm in England,I can't see him more.I miss him so much.

In this days,I feel very boring.Every day,there is nothing to do except the lessons.I always think of the time of my high school.I miss my firends so much. I don't know what they are doing now,but I hope everything is fine. Miao is my best friend.When we are in the high school, we are verry happy.We lived in the same room and do everything together.There was a small pool beside our classroom building in the school.We offten go there to rest and feed the fish.It was very intersting.There were many fish,red or white.They liked the bread very much.When we saw the fish swimed freely in the water,any vexation will gone.Now I miss her so much.How I wish I could meet her right now.

This week we will take a trip to China. China is a very big country, there are lots of famous places. We go to the first place is Beijing, the capital of China.
The first day morning, we will go to visit the Palace Museum. It is the biggest palace in the world.It was called The Forbidden City in the past.There are more than 9000 palaces. The taihe palace is the largest one for the emperor to held the ceremony.The emperor lives in qianqing palace. Behind these,there is a beautiful garden,called imperial garden. The Palace Museum is the political and cultural centre of the chinese ruling class.It has undergone 24 emperors.
In the afternoon, we go to visit the Summer Palace.It situated in the haidian district.The Summer Palac was a royal garden for Qing dynasty. It has the wanshou mountain and the kunming lake.There also has a corridor and many beautiful buildings.Each season we can see different scenerys.
At night, we go to wangfujing to enjoy the food, the Beijing roast duck is the most delicious.
The next morning we get up early and go to Tiananmen Square to see the flag-raising ceremony.Then we visit the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube.There held Olympic Games and both are very beautiful.
In the afternoon, we go to the Great Wall. It is on the mountains in the north of China.It is more than 7000km, considered as a miracle in the world. The Great Wall was used for defense in the past.Countless people involved in its construction.It shows a long history of the China.
In the evening, we get on the plane and fly to the next place, Shanghai.

Harry Potter

Today, I borrowed some DVDs of Harry Potter and watched it in the afternoon. I think it is a famous story and anyone know about it. Exactly,I had watched it in China long before. But I just watched it with chinese sound or chineae caption. So I specially borrowed the English version from my friend. I want to learn more about english. I think it is helpful that watch a film in english. I learned many things from the film today,and I know more words than before. I will continue to watch films like this. I think it is a way to improve my english.

My Little Room

When I came to England, I was offered a little room. It is a small place that I have got, but I like it. It has a milk-white wall and a black carpet. On the wall there is a big mirror and a red board. It also has some wooden furniture for me, the colour is milk-white too. My bed is on the left side of the room. It is small but comfortable. There is a window whit the colourful curtains towards the bed. Through the window, I can see a church and the beautiful sky. It is great scenery. I think I will have a good time here.

Detective Conan

Yesterday I saw a movie ,the name is Full Score of Fear.It is the 12th movie of Detective Conan movie series. It said an incident about some musicians.The music in the film was very nice.
I like conan very much. When I was 10 years old, I had readed the books of Detective Conan, then I started to watch the animation everyday. The whole story is said about a boy who studys in high school. He is a clever detective.But oneday,he has been hurt by a terroristische vereinigung.They let him ate a bane. Fortunately,he didn't die,but become a child.
In my home I have many novels comics and DVDs about Detective Conan.There also many posters on the wall of my room.

SHOPPING

last weekend,I went to shopping in the city center.There were many stores. First,I went to the clothes shop.The clothes there were very nice, I chose for a long time, eventually I bought a white and gray woolen coat.then I went to a tableware shop,I bought a knife and a fork, they all made of metal. Finally, I went to the department store. I bought many things: A purse, made of leather and have many flowers on it; A umbrella, had many colorized circle and dots; A wastbin,it is blue and have many stars on it.I also bought some clothes-hanger.I spent all the afternoon in these shops.When I came back to my room, I felt so tired.

COMPUTER GAME

Yesterday,I played a computer game in my friend's room. The game seemed very intersting. There were a lot of streets and architecture in the game,and all the things there looks very real. I drived cars in the game,it was running quickly. I never play games before. It was the first time that I played it. I am not good at it and often bumped into the wall.But I felt very refreshing and funny.I thought it was a good way to relax when we are bored,but the eyes will be hurt if we play too long.

When I was ten years old

When I was ten years old, I used to live in the countryside. There were many trees and flowers. The scenery of there was very beauiful. But now, my family has moved to the town. Here only the building and cars. I used to like vegetables and eggs. I still like them now. I used to play outside with many chirdren,but now,I don't go out everyday.I stay in the room most of the time.I used to go fishing and climd the trees like a boy. But I'm more quiet than before.when I was a child, I used to hate the homework and classes.I still don't like these,but I study more seriously.I used to afraid of ghosts and fear in the darkness,but I'm not afraid now,I become more courugeous.

WEEKEND

I had a intersting weekend last week.

On friday,I made dumplings with my friends in the evening. It was the first time for us to made dumplings. We did everything by ourself,so the dumplings were delicious.

On saturday, I went to Leeds with my friends. We went there by train. Leeds is a beautiful city ,we took a lot of pictures. Then we went shopping in a chinese supermarket. I missed the chinese food so much. I bought a lot of things came from China. In the evening, we visited some new friends and ate the food together.

On sunday,I bought two comicses before I coming back.

I was very happy in the three days.

MYSELF

My name is shirley.I'm a quiet girl. My hair is black and straight. I have a pair of glasses on face. I'm not very tall, many people think that I was a child.
I always get up at 8:00 in the morning. Then I brush my tooth wash my face and comb my hair. After that, I have my breakfast. I usually eat some bread and drink some milk. Then I go to school on foot. The class starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm. I study english for 5 hours and have a lunch between 13:00 and 14:00. After class,I go back to my home and have a rest. I often have dinner with my friends. Then I return to my room and turn on the computer. I like listening to music and watching films. I also do my homework and do some reading at night. Finally I go to bed at 22:30.
